K. Schippers and I thought up the concept for the new-style postage stamp book, part one of which was dedicated to new postage stamps and the other part was about a specific aspect of the phenomenon of the postage stamp. We immediately changed the format, so there could be no possible doubt about it. It’s an approach that has yielded many special tiny books. Our booklet philosophise is about the significance of postage stamps when they are no longer used. In the first part, the word postage stamp is not used anywhere; only the perforated pages indicate that it’s about postage stamps.
