posters for Het Nationale Ballet/ Toneelgroep Amsterdam, 1986
The Bacchae were evil, horny, mysterious girls who accompanied Bacchus (the god of human pleasures) on his wanderings. It is a trilogy. I took advantage of this form by telling part of the story in each part. As a result I hoped to draw a different kind of attention. The posters are printed on bitumen paper. That gives a beautiful effect, but when it rains they slowly slide into the street. The glue is too weak, or the paper is too heavy. I just thought you should know.
