My mother was a heavy smoker all her life. She had one blonde lock that was discoloured by all the nicotine smoke. She was 90 when I took this photo and the only pleasure she still had in her life was her cigarettes. The poster was hung shortly after she died. A strange sight: I came across her on every corner.
