Bakeliet is a soap opera written and directed by Gerardjan Rijnders which is about Julia de Boekeland, the very rich daughter of the Belgian inventor of Bakelite. She moves to Beverly Hills, where the beautiful, troubled, crazy, excessive ‘glittering days’ of Julia end up in a pool of blood. What a pity, such a beautiful woman… the photo is by the way not of Rita Hayworth, but of Julia herself. It was in an American magazine.
